Recordings in Japan
Several of Amaral Vieira's recordings have been released in Japan achieving
enormous success.
"Favourite Masterpieces" sold more than 200.000 copies among
CDs and cassettes.
"Vieira's World" includes the composer's symphonic pieces
performed by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and has sold over 100.000

A remarkable phonographic project included the recording in Tokyo of
pieces by Schubert, Mendelssohn and Schumann played on an 1840 "Schweighofer"
fortepiano.
This recording was part of a set containing five CDs recorded on five
different historic instruments to celebrate the Min-On Concert Association's
35th anniversary. The other four artists included in this selection
with Amaral Vieira are Jörg Demus, Kurt Rapf, Hans Kann and Michio
Kobayashi.
Kazuko Kobayashi, a distinguished Japanese pianist, has released her
first CD “The Snow Country Prince” recorded for the prestigious
label DENON (which belongs to Japan Columbia Corporation), entirely
devoted to Amaral Vieira's works.
